Tampa police are looking for vandals who inflated inflatable gorillas

On March 14, police said that someone held a lighter to an inflatable gorilla outside Tampa. The hole was then burned through, causing the primate to burst.

Reddit users shared details about the vandalism. They also noted that although it seemed “silly”, the inflatable gorilla was actually private property and cost $3,000 to make.

The crime was captured on two surveillance cameras. Tampa Printer spokesperson said that they saw someone riding an “Spin” electric bike on the surveillance footage and they reached out to them to find the individual. They haven’t heard from them yet.

Anybody with information regarding the case is requested to contact Tampa Police Department at (813-231-6130). You can submit anonymous tips here.
