MSP M&A: Five MSPs Acquired by Intelligent Technical Solutions


Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS) was backed by Tower Arch Capital. The company acquired Granite Computer Solutions and BrightWire Networks, Ox Power Computing Service and ProTechnical to significantly expand its U.S. business. Deerpath Capital provided financing. Advisors for ITS include Holland & Hart LLP, BDO USA Farrell Advisory and LLP.

ITS acquires five MSPs

ITS was founded in 2003 and is based in Las Vegas. LinkedIn lists 179 employees for the company. ITS’ areas of expertise include phone systems, managed computer service provider, disaster recovery for businesses, IT consulting, Microsoft SBS installation and maintenance, hardware upgrade, computer virtualization, cloud computing, distributed file collaboration, data recovery, cybersecurity and IT support.

Granite Computer Solutions (GCS) was founded in Tempe, Arizona in 1990. GCS’s areas of expertise include network administration, managed IT services, server repairs and upgrades, backup and disaster recovery, workstation repairs and upgrades, security and virus protection, email, internet connectivity, cloud services, copier, scanner and printer support and consulting.

BrightWire, which was established in 2005, has its headquarters in Olympia, Washington. There are 13 employees at BrightWire, all listed on LinkedIn. BrightWire’s areas of expertise include IT Consulting, Managed Services, Network Installation, Computer Repair, Network Security, Help Desk Services, Technology Project Management, and Cloud Services.

Ox Power Computing Service has its headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

ProTechnical was established in Reno in 2008. LinkedIn lists the company’s 15 employees. ProTechnical’s areas of expertise include Information Technology, Computer repair, and Business-to-Business services.

A Leap Ahead IT is a California-based company that was established in 2005. LinkedIn lists 14 employees for the company. A Leap Ahead’s areas of expertise include information technology services and support.

The acquisitions of Granite, BrightWire, Ox Power, ProTechnical, and A Leap Ahead provide managed IT services in their respective geographies, which will strengthen and expand ITS’s business reach and geographic footprint.
