JAMMU : Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three suspects, including a woman, and recovered fake currency valued at Rs 1,70,000. They also recovered a sharp-edged weapon and other materials.
Sr Superintendent Jammu Police (SSP), sharing details Chandan Kohli According to the statement: “Following on complaint made at P/S RS Pura Ashok Kumar, Ward -6 RS Pura, Jammu District, stating that certain persons are involved in creating and circulating counterfeit currency notes in these areas.”
He said that a FIR had been registered in this case at PS RS Pura, and an investigation was underway.
SSP Jammu stated, “After this, special police teams from P/S RS Pura led SDPO RS Pura Nikil Gogna with assistance by SHO PS RS Pura Inspr Pawan Kumar and I/C BPP Agra Chak SI were formed.” Sunil Kumar Thakur The raid took place at the suspected location. Jyoti Devi, wife of Vinod Kumrah from Devigarh Tehsil Suchetgarh and A/P Chang Tehsil Ramgarh Samba was arrested.”
She revealed that she had a child. Mohd. Mustaq Vinod kund, the son of Mohd aslam and Phinder R S Pura’s Jeet Raj, purchased a photo state machine with a colour scanner from Jammu for creating Indian fake currency about 6/7 months back.
SSP Jammu stated that the property recovered was around 54 pages (Bond Super White Hi Bright Papers), packed in the shape of a rim and one toka.
“Whereas on the disclosure of accused namely Vinod Kumar, one coloured scanner cum printer cum photostat machine along with five colour bottles, Fake Indian Currency notes 500/500 and 200/200 total 1,70,900/- rupees; four nos of rim (Bond Super White Hi-Bright Papers) ½ rim of white papers A4 size got recovered from village Chang which accordingly were seized,” SSP Jammu Kohli added.
He said that the overall operation was under the supervision SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta.
Investigations are ongoing.
