Can a printer make edible chocolate?

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Have you ever had a craving for candy, such as chocolate, but didn’t have any in the house? A new device could be the solution if you don’t want to run to the store and get a sweet treat.

There are many types of chocolate, including different flavors, shapes, sizes, and brands. You can find it all over the globe.

The brand new “Cocoa Press” printer could be where you turn for your desert. Although the 3D printer is an effective tool, it will still cost more than your average candy bar price.

Cocoa Press can create candy layer by layer just like a 3D printer. The chocolate is heated until it reaches the desired temperature. After that, let the chocolate cool in the air.

The cost to buy one of the 3D printers will be quite high if you want to treat yourself. The reservation process opens on Monday, April 17 and is open for submissions. The printer can be purchased with a $100 deposit.

The DIY kit costs $1,499, while professional packages cost $3,995. Customers will receive their printers in September.
